It is time again to start planning our famous annual event called Chefs Fight For Your Heart located at Cheswold Fire Hall this year October 29, 2016. After last year's battle between ou r2012, 2013 and 2014 winners it is time to bring three new chefs to the competition. As always Dr. Abbresscia from Delaware Heart and Vascular, P.A. , our event sponsor, will also be our keynote speaker, once more.
Chefs Fight For Your Heart is there to make a difference in our community by bringing food education for all during a wonderful evening. Please visit our website to buy tickets online before we are sold out due to our limited sitting. $40 per person.
For the fifth year we will organize a cooking contest to raise money to help spread the word about heart disease. All benefits will go to the American Heart Association. Last year's winner, Chef Matthew Cornelius from Just Hooked won the competition for the best tasting and healthier appetizer, entree and dessert against Chef Hari Cameron of (a)Muse and Chef Ryan Cunningham of Abbott's Grill in Laurel. This year we will bring three more incredibly talented chefs. The public will be able to try the food prepared by the chefs so they can pick a winner. The public and the 7 members of the jury will each have the power to pick the winner. Each team will have a backup crew to serve the public and jury their best, healthy, tasty dishes. As the show is going on Chefs will explain to the public their dishes how they are made, where can they find the products, how they to get organized so they can have healthier habits. Doctors, a nutritionist and healthy specialists will help and bring their knowledge to this event.
I really hope you can make this event a "must go" and buy tickets at www.chefsfight.com. Please tell all your friends so we can make a difference in our community about eating healthier and raise money for the American Heart Association. Let's make a difference in people lives, come and join us at this wonderful evening, or become a volunteer or sponsor.
